In Memory Of

When a loved one passes away, you want to do something to remember them for the impact they had in your life. There is no better way to do that than to give a gift to Mercy Ministries, where their life will continue to impact the lives of the young women who are walking through the process of transformation, from death to life.

Haevest Time Ministries, Inc will send a card in memory of the loved one to a surviving relative or friend. We will also send you a gift receipt and a thank you letter.

Planned Giving

 

Contributions Through Your Will

Through your will, you can have an impact on the lives of others, even after your death.  Your will can continue a legacy of caring and making a difference. 

If you decide to support Harvest Time Ministries, Inc. through your will, you can specify a particular amount of money or an asset such as stock or property.  Consider giving the remainder or a portion of the remainder of your estate after expenses and gifts to your loved ones have been paid out. 

The interest in real estate or a trust designated initially for the lifetime benefit of a loved one could be specified for a gift.  Sometimes individuals prefer making a contingent gift that takes effect only under certain circumstances (for example, "If my spouse does not survive me,").  Ask your attorney for further information.
What if you already have a will?  Often you can add a bequest to Harvest Time Ministries, Inc. to your existing will simply by consulting your attorney about an amendment known as a "codicil."  When you have completed your will or added a provision for Harvest Time Ministries to your current will, we hope you’ll let us know so we can express our thanks!

 

Giving through a Living Trust 
If you would like to create an estate plan that allows some privacy and has additional features, a living trust may be something you wish to discuss with your attorney.  A gift to the Harvest Time Christian Boarding School from such a trust can be arranged upon your death, just as with a will.

Employer Matching of Gifts 

Companies across the country are willing to partner with their employees in giving to nonprofit organizations like Mercy Ministries. Mercy Ministries is a 501(c)3 corporation which many employers are willing to support. If your employer has a matching gift program, you can increase the impact of your gift to Mercy Ministries by participating.

 

Here is what you need to do:

• Check with your employer’s Human Resources Department to see if they participate in a matching gifts program.

• Ask them for the forms that Harvest Time Ministries needs to complete.

• Make your donation online. Fill out the electronic form below.

• Mail the form from your employer to our address.

• We will complete the form and return it to your employer.

• United Way Designated Funding If your employer encourages or requires participation in the United Way campaign, you can designate your gift for Harvest Time Ministries. Look for a “donor option” line on your giving campaign form and write in “Harvest Time Ministries, Inc.” You may need to include our address: 4 Charles West Blvd Clayton AL 36016. Most local United Way programs allow donors to specify a charity other than one from their list of participants. We will receive a donation on behalf of you through your local United Way chapter.

 

• Product Donations If you have something specific you would like to offer the residents, please let us know. Retailers have donated cooking classes, movie tickets, or other activities for the residents. These opportunities are limited due to the very busy schedule of the residents because while they are here in the program, their focus must be on their counseling and classes.

  Individuals may also donate the following products and materials from their own resources or from a product “drive.” All donated items are stored in our “Blessings Closet”, so that girls with little or no monetary support may have access to items that they need on a daily basis:

  * Due to young age of most of our residents, clothes that are current and youthful are appreciated.

  • Toiletries (examples: soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, deodorant, face scrubs

  • Styling equipment (examples: straighteners, curling irons, blow dryers, new brushes)

  • Craft and art supplies (examples: scrapbooking materials, construction paper, stationary)

  • Cars (for our local graduates)
